Growing up in Missouri, the only castles I knew made cheeseburgers or were built of legos. One thing that makes France amazing is there are castles everywhere here. We stay five doors down from one, and through our bedroom window we can see a couple more towns that have castles too. It seems like every village has one. Could there have been a castle bubble last millennium? Was there ‘irrational exuberance’ in the castle market? As castle owners were hunted down and beheaded in the French Revolution, did officials give interviews insisting how hard it is to spot castle bubbles until it's too late?
