One estimate is more than 300 per person each year. In the U.S., the country is doing whatever it can to encourage healthy diets. Data showing Americans eating so many gooey rolls would prompt more calls for change. In Sweden, it calls for celebration.
Yesterday was national Cinnamon Bun Day in Sweden, and all were urged to indulge. I'm a dual citizen and I ate a bun, doing my duty as a Swede. But don't worry - I haven't gone completely native here. The rest of the day I wasn't at all active or healthy.
